My paintings are large scale use tempera, acrylic, and pastels, along with other mixed media. The size, colors, and texture of the works encourage the light of day to move across them, mimicking actual landscapes. These paintings are based on a moment in nature — a cloud on the mountain after sunset, waiting to storm; a flame of fire; a forest whirring by someone in transit. Emotionally, these are a set of meditations and release that I have put on canvas.
